Artillery Club’s Newsletter 4/2018  reports on Activities, the Artillery Corps and Looking into the Past.  .

Particular issues within this Newsletter include Activity Reports, Annual General Meeting and St Barbara’s Lunch and finally News from the Regiments.  Photographs are credited to the Defence Forces Press Office and the Club Membership.

Marking the 95th Anniversary of the established of the Artillery Corps, the section Looking into the Past, contains the introduction of an article titled “Some Thoughts on the Irish Artillery Corps” which was written at the request of the Artillery Club by Lieutenant-Colonel Ralph Riccio (Retd) US Army.

The complete article is availability in the Club’s website www.artilleryclub.ie, under Information – Publications.   Ralph’s comprehensive history of the Artillery Corps, titled The Irish Artillery Corps Since 1922 (Green Series), was published in 2012 and is available from Amazon.

The Director of Artillery, School Commandant and Regimental Commanders are requested to post this Newsletter on IKON, circulate it to all Permanent Defence Force and Army Reserve Artillery officers under their command, and are encouraged to provide information for subsequent Newsletters.
