Veterans’ Day 2022
The Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Seán Clancy has issued invitations to this year’s Defence Forces Veterans’ Day taking place on Sunday 19 June in McKee Barracks, Dublin, commencing at 1400hrs.
A representative group from each of the three Veterans’ Associations (ARCO, ONET and IUNVA) and Unit Associations will parade, and will be reviewed by the Minister for Defence, Mr. Simon Coveney TD.
Following the review, the Minister will address the parade and guests. The ceremony will conclude with a wreath laying ceremony, involving the Minister for Defence, ARCO, ONET and IUNVA.
Veterans’ Day reaches out to honour retired members of the Defence Forces. All Veterans have been invited to the event.
All Veterans are encouraged attend Veterans’ Day, wearing their authorised medals.
It is expected that the parade will conclude at 1445 hours approx, after which Veterans will have the opportunity to view the capability display and attend the reception in the Catering Centre.
