Field Trip: Spike Island – National Maritime College – National Space Centre

Introduction
The Artillery Club will conduct a Field Trip to Cork on Thursday 14 May and Friday 15 May 2026, visiting Spike Island, the National Maritime College and the National Space Centre. The Field Trip is open to members of the Artillery Club, their respective spouses or partners and their guests.
Programme of Events
Thursday 14 May
- Rendezvous at Commodore Hotel Cobh
- Depart Cobh by Ferry to Spike Island for Guided Tour, cost €29 per person
- Return to Cobh and Depart for Carrigaline (Carrigaloe Ferry return ticket recommended at own expense)
- Check-In Carrigaline Court Hotel and Leisure Centre
- Dinner
Friday 15 May
- Check Out & Depart Hotel for National Maritime College, Ringaskiddy
- Guided Tour of National Maritime College, including National Ocean Test Facility
- Depart for National Space Centre, Elfordstown. (45 Min by car via Carrigaloe Ferry & North of Midleton)
- Guided Tour of National Space Centre
- End of Field Trip
Accommodation – 14 May
Carrigaline Court Hotel and Leisure Centre located in Carrigaline has kindly offered a special rate for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast costing €245 per couple sharing.
The single rate for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast is €199.
To avail of this special rate, bookings should be made as soon as possible, directly with the hotel at 021 485 2100, quoting Artillery Club.
Those residing in Cork who do not require overnight accommodation, can avail of the Dinner at a cost of €32 per person, please book Dinner with the Coordinator.
