Introduction
The Artillery Club’s Annual Golf Outing takes place on Thursday, 23 August 2018 at the Heritage Golf Resort/Hotel (5Star), Killenard Co Laois followed by dinner at 2000hrs approx. Both the Golf Outing and Dinner are open to Members of the Artillery Club, their Spouses, Partners and Friends. The Golf Resort is directly facing the Main Entrance fronted by a large Seve Ballesteros statue.
Competitions – Seve Ballesteros Championship Course
Singles Stableford – Ladies & Gents competitions. Competition for the Capt Jack Jones (RIP) Perpetual Trophy is restricted to Artillery Officers (PDF & RDF) serving and retired. Prizes will include visitors’ prizes. Tees are reserved from 11.30hrs to 12.30hrs. Those who wish to avail of Buggies (€25 each / 15 available) are requested to reserve buggies directly with the Heritage Golf Resort, quoting Artillery Club Golf Outing, telephone number: 057/8642321(Ext 1) or Email info@heritageresort.ie (give Surname.
(Play off Green Markers). Course will be modified, if requested to address age profile.
A computerised Log In /Score Entry System will be available to facilitate a speedy computation of results
Handicaps
Artillery Club Members and their Guests, with current official GUI and ILGU Handicaps, will play to their official current handicap on the day. Non-members of a GUI or ILGU affiliated club will be allocated a maximum handicap on the day: 18 for Men and 24 for Ladies.
Accommodation & Fees
Rooms have been reserved in the Heritage Golf Resort for Members and Guests at the following rates:
Please note all charges relating to Golf includes €10 to the Prize Fund as in in 2017
€ 125 pps 1-night B&B Thur Night 23rd August, including golf and dinner,
€ 80 Euro pps. 1 night B&B plus Dinner (Non Golfers)
€175 pps. 2 nights B&B Wed & Thur Nights (Dinner and Golf on Thurs only),
€190 pps. 2 nights B&B Thur & Fri Nights (Dinner and Golf on Thurs only)
Resort accommodation is in 5 Star Suites which are of a very high standard. Residents of the Resort are considered residents of the hotel
(Single supplement 40 per night on top of above rates).
If members wish to avail of hotel accommodation at The Heritage 5 Star Hotel and Spa rooms have been reserved at the following rates.
€ 169 pps. 1-night B&B Thur Night 23rd August, including golf and dinner,
€265 pps. 2 nights B&B Wed & Thur Nights (Dinner and Golf on Thurs only),
€265 pps 2 nights B&B Thur & Fri Nights (Dinner and Golf on Thurs only),
€124.50 Euro pps B&B Thurs night plus Dinner.(Non Golfers)
Breakfast for all of the above arrangements is served in the Golf Resort Clubhouse Restaurant.
If you intend to stay and avail of these very good rates, payment will be required NLT Friday 20 April to secure your booking. This is because the Artillery Club is required to pay the hotel a 15% deposit (non refundable but transferable) not later than 1 May 2018 to secure the room bookings. See attached Booking Return.
For those members not overnighting, the Fees are:
Golf Only: €45 pp € 30pp Dinner Only:
Golf & Dinner Only: €75pp.
Additional Information
The Dinner will be held in the Reserved Greens Restaurant with Bar facilities.
We will have the facility of the Seve Snug Private Bar which also has BBQ facilities
Suites are in a separate building next door to the Main Golf Resort Clubhouse.

5km Walking Track around the peripheral area of the Golf Course.
10% reductions at Kildare Village.
